Our team provided design and build services for Durham College’s new baseball facility. This state-of-the-art facility features many completely customized components. This project started with the removal of the existing natural grass diamond, followed by the construction of a dynamic aggregate base and installation of a performance pad, synthetic turf with custom lines, Durham Lord’s logos, rubber infill, double batting cages with netting, bullpens and custom dugouts.
The new baseball facility includes a customized scoreboard, flag poles, and LED field lighting (also included in the bullpens and dugouts). The field is equipped with an award-winning pole-to-pole tension netting, with an integrated and customized backstop wall pad system, windscreens. The 400 seat custom bleachers include VIP seating for 100 and an integrated press box, perimeter fencing and Elevator Chairlift.
The Ultra Cross® knotless low-profile net barriers are Dyneema® fiber construction, which makes it exceptionally strong, providing spectators industry-leading 95% see-through visibility, which is why it’s the preferred netting of Major League Baseball venues.
